Praise and Constructive Criticism

Participants learn what a powerful tool praise is by identifying the role which praise plays in motivating themselves and others in their organization, recognizing the benefits of praise and also the reasons why it is often not used as much as it should be, applying the seven golden rules of giving praise, and devising an action plan to increase their use of praise and their ability to deliver it effectively. Participants will recognize the purpose of criticism and the difference between positive constructive criticism and the negative destructive variety, understand and be able to apply the seven golden rules of giving criticism, and devise an action plan to improve their ability to give constructive criticism.
